Above all, holiday makers come to La Genese to relax, but every now and then they need a bit of action, want to get some exercise or do a bit sport.
Seize the opportunity during your holiday to stretch out, work on your flexibility or tone up. Every morning Thierry and his team will wake up your body to music, giving you a good start to the day. In the evenings, if you still have some energy left you can join in the Zumba classes.
The Cevennes countryside has plenty to offer to walkers who love extensive, unspoiled nature. Over the course of six different circuits our passionate activity leader Jonathan will show you all the local wildlife: you will cross shrubland or walk along forest paths amongst holly oak trees, before arriving at your destination of La Baumes des Fades, La Dent du Serret or Hermitage Saint Ferreole. The walks are not very long: between 6 and 10 km but include 300m of differences in altitude, offering you magnificent panoramic scenery.
The more competitive among you can take part in a variety of badminton, volleyball, water-polo, tennis, basketball, table tennis or bowls competitions. But watch out, the residents’ team is formidable! At La Genese you can always find a partner or team to join up with.
Every morning from Monday to Friday, you can come and feel the benefits of this gentle gymnastics session to music. Reinvigorate your body under Thierry’s professional guidance.
Situated at the back of the Talweg sector, the archery range is open every morning both to those with experience as well as to novices hoping to follow in the footsteps of Robin Hood, from 8 years old and upwards. The activity is led by an instructor who is responsible for the archery range and your safety. There is no need to come equipped: bows and arrows are provided.
Six canoes are moored on the banks of the Cèze for use by guests staying at La Genese. Paddles, life jackets and a watertight barrel are available at reception. This activity is suitable for all the family, the river’s current being relatively calm.
